The biographical and bibliographical collection of Musa Jalil



The President of the Republic of Tatarstan released a decree (Dec. 30, 2005, #570), declaring 2006 as the Year of Literature and Art in the Republic of Tatarstan. It was created to draw light upon the unique creative heritage of the multinational people of Tatarstan and to celebrate the anniversaries of some outstanding figures of literature and art in the history of the republic. Among them is Musa Jalil.

The biographical collection of Musa Jalil is in honor of the 100th anniversary of the birthday of the great Tatar poet. His curriculum vitae and biography, his best known works in the Russian, Tatar and English languages, comments about his life and creativity, scripts devoted to the poet, a bibliographic index of his literature, including the edition compiled from 1995-2005 (in chronological order) and more are included. A photo archive contains family photos, illustrations and works of art representing Musa Jalil, items from his performances and much more.
