Library Services
In accordance with Article 6 of the Law of the Republic of Tatarstan, "Regarding Libraries and Librarianship,” dated 06/08/2019 N 65-ZRT, the procedure for accessing library funds, the list of basic services and the conditions for their provision by libraries are established in accordance with the charters of libraries or local regulations of organizations, structural subdivisions of which are libraries, the legislation of the Russian Federation on the protection of children from information harmful to their health and (or) development, the legislation of the Russian Federation of state and other secrets protected by law and legislation ensuring the safety of the cultural heritage of the peoples of the Russian Federation.
Primary Services
List of Services provided by the National Library of the Republic of Tatarstan (free of charge):
- access to information on the structure of library stocks offered through catalogues and other forms of provision of information;
- advisory services on information search;
- access to documents delivered from the library stocks and presented in reading rooms (in compliance with Library Rules);
- information on new arrivals of the library during displays;
- reviewing of documents delivered from the library stocks during thematic exhibitions;
- library service and provision of documents both in Russian and Tatar languages.
Information on book availability in state and municipal libraries’ stocks can be obtained from the Common Government Services Portal of the Republic of Tatarstan and the websites of the National Library of the Republic of Tatarstan and the National Electronic Library of the Republic of Tatarstan.
The bibliographic information from state and municipal libraries’ stocks is provided in section Library Catalogue: Book Information on the Common Government Services Portal of the Republic of Tatarstan. Information is easily obtained via the website – personal data is not required.
