The Shtandart (flag) is a symbol of presidential power in the Republic of Tatarstan of the president of the Republic of Tatarstan.



The shtandart of the president of the Republic of Tatarstan is a square panel with horizontal green, white and red coloured stripes (the colours of the national flag of the Republic of Tatarstan). The white stripe takes up 1/15 of the width of the panel and is located between the green and red coloured stripes of equal width. The green stripe is on top and the red on the bottom. On the centre panel is a colour image of the Republic of Tatarstan state arms. The panel is bordered by gold fringe. The drawing is identical when turned around upside-down. The staff pictured on the shtandart of the president of the Republic of Tatarstan is fastened with a crampon of gold colour with the engraved surname, name and patronymic the president of the Republic of Tatarstan and the dates of his/her service. When a new president for the Republic of Tatarstan is elected, the crampon is replaced with another with the engraved surname, name and patronymic of the newly elected president and dates of service. The staff of the shtandart of the president of the Republic of Tatarstan is topped with a metal silver colour in the form of a spear, in which a three-petal tulip of gold colour is visible.
