On May, 16th, 2009 at the department of periodicals of the National library of Tatarstan (K.Marx St., 36) a presentation devoted to the Day of Slavonic writing took place.
Philologists present in the activity – teachers of Russian and Tatar languages and literature from areas of republic and a city of Kazan, had the chance to familiarize themselves with an exhibition of periodicals of philology from department funds where along with modern magazines and newspapers the periodical press of the Kazan province has been presented also.
Employees of the department prepared the review about intermingling of Russian and Tatar languages and about interference of two cultures.
The given action within the precincts of the National library of Tatarstan has earned special gratitude from visitors from republic areas.
The Department of Literature in Foreign Languages of the National Library of the Republic of Tatarstan (36 Karl Marx Str.) is happy to present new book arrivals to its visitors. Our new stock will be interesting to those who learn Russian as a foreign language or teach it to international students.
The seven-volume work entitled “The History of the Tatars since Ancient Times” written in English language and published by the Institute of History of Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan has supplemented the Department of Literature in Foreign Languages of the National Library of the Republic of Tatarstan.
From March 14 to 16, 2017 the officials of the Department of Literature in Foreign Languages of the National Library of the Republic of Tatarstan organized meetings with the lecturers and students of Kazan Federal University.
