Visit of the USA ambassador John Beyrle

On June, 25th at the Large reading room of the National Library of the Republic of Tatarstan (Kremlevskaya str., 33) within the limits of reception in honour of graduates of the Russian-American exchange programs a meeting with the new ambassador of the USA in Russia John Beyrle has taken place. The reception also has been devoted to the Russian-American cooperation in a sphere of education, science and culture and should be mentioned that the same day the ambassador of the USA has solemnly opened in Kazan the All-Russian conference for teachers of English language NATE.

In the solemn speech on the occasion of reception John Beyrle has noted sincere and warm reception which he has rendered in Kazan and he has underlined inimitable beauty and historical uniqueness of the building of the National Library of the Republic of Tatarstan. Present visitors have been surprised by extraordinary good knowledge of Russian and almost total absence of accent. Later the ambassador has explained that he has devoted a lot of time to studying the relations between Russia and America. Within the limits of a meeting John Beyrle has stated hope of the further fruitful cooperation between the National Library of the Republic of Tatarstan which is «the mistress of the American centre» in Kazan, and Embassy of the USA, and also some universities of America.

At the meeting there were Ajupova Irada Hafizjanovna, the deputy minister of the culture of the Republic of Tatarstan Akulov Timur Jurevich, the director of Department of external relations of president of the Republic of Tatarstan Gilmutdinov Albert Harisovich, the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Tatarstan, representatives of Supreme and Arbitration courts of the Republic of Tatarstan, and also many graduates of exchange programs.

The total of the invited persons were 120. Within the limits of reception the buffet table have been organised and all presents could communicate in easy conditions with the ambassador of the USA John Beyrle.
