Art of the Native land

Till September, 30th, 2009 at the department of arts of the National Library of Tatarstan (5, Teatralnaya str.) operates a thematic exhibition « Art of the Native land », organized by employees of the department within the limits of celebrating the Day of Republic. The colorful albums, monographies, CD and DVD documents are collected in sections «Fine arts of Tatarstan», «the Tatar music», «Theatre: far and close».

«The modern art of Tatarstan develops in that cultural space, where the Tatar and Russian culture and traditions live and cooperate more than four centuries, where two great civilizations – Muslim and Christian in its orthodox variant crossed, where the East and the West incorporate, but up to the end do not merge.
