On September, 2nd it is forty years of gateway dialogue between computers. In 1969 only twenty persons from Klinrok laboratory at the Californian University of Los - Angeles observed how two huge computers exchange among themselves the test information through a cable. It was a birth of a network which was called as Arpanet. Now it is the huge virtual world created by mankind. Reference editions and guidebooks on the Internet networks which presented at an exhibition of information-bibliographic department of the National Library of the Republic of Tatarstan, allow to be guided in an information field easier and to find the necessary information faster.

The seven-volume work entitled “The History of the Tatars since Ancient Times” written in English language and published by the Institute of History of Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan has supplemented the Department of Literature in Foreign Languages of the National Library of the Republic of Tatarstan.
From March 14 to 16, 2017 the officials of the Department of Literature in Foreign Languages of the National Library of the Republic of Tatarstan organized meetings with the lecturers and students of Kazan Federal University.
