On February 19, 2016, the employees of the Department of the periodical editions of the National Library of the Republic of Tatarstan (ul. Karl Marx, d. 36) had held an event for the students of the Municipal Public Educational Organization "Gymnasium No.3" of the Vakhitovsky district of Kazan, dedicated to the 110th anniversary of the poet-hero Musa Jalil (1906-1944).
The overview of the series "The role of the periodical editions in the patriotic education of schoolchildren" had familiarized the students with the biography and the works of the Tatar poet, the winner of the Lenin Prize, the Hero of the Soviet Union, on whose poems several generations of true patriots of our country were brought up. Together with the students the employees of the Department had read aloud the works of Musa Jalil, listened to and sang songs, that were written on his poems. The event was held in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Young guests of the library were keenly interested in the circumstances of the path of the life of the poet-hero, in his courage, fortitude and devotion to the Motherland. None of the questions that were asked about the poet and his work had remained unanswered. The organizers of the meeting see their supertask in that the moral precepts that were hypothecated in the childhood, will turn into the credo of the person on all of his life.
