To the 130th anniversary of Gabdulla Tukay

On April 18, 2016 the employees of the Department of periodicals of the National Library of the Republic of Tatarstan held an event in School-gymnasium № 8 of the Soviet district of Kazan, dedicated to the 130th anniversary of classic of Tatar literature Gabdulla Tukay (1886-1913).

During the class the staff of the library told the students about the life and work of the great poet, who represents the whole epoch in the spiritual development of the Tatar people. Also, the students received useful information relating the books  and periodicals available at the library stocks of the main library of Tatarstan. The participants of the even read the poems and excerpts from the works of Tukay in the Tatar and Russian languages. Special interest of participants has caused a quiz based on the tales of great poet. The most active of them received the books in the memory of this meeting.
