Scientists of Kazakhstan at the National Library of the Republic of Tatarstan

On April 26, 2016 the Department of manuscripts and rare books of the National Library of the Republic of Tatarstan (st. Karl Marx, d. 36) was visited by a delegation of scientists from Kazakhstan.

The delegation consisted of prominent representatives of the scientific world in Kazakhstan: Sharip Amantay – Doctor of Philology, Chief Scientific Secretary of the International Turkic Academy (Astana); Dadebay Zhangara – Doctor of Philology, Professor, Director of Institute of Abai of Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi (Almaty); Kamzabekuly Dikhan – Doctor of Philology, Professor, Vice-Rector of the Eurasian National University named after L.N. Gumilev (Astana); Alibekuly Akzhigit – Candidate of Philology, Deputy Director of the Institute of Literature and Art named after M.O. Auezov (Almaty). Alibekuly Akzhigit already has been in Kazan and  had visited the Department of manuscripts and rare books of the library for several times. The guests got acquainted with the activities and library stocks of the department. The particular interest of the scientists was paid to the sources on the history of Kazakhstan and Kazakh people.
