During the May 2016, the patent department of the National Library of the Republic of Tatarstan (ul. Karl Marx, d. 36) holds an exhibition "Inventors for the front" dedicated to 71st anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War and representing the invention of the war years.
The Victory in the Great Patriotic War, which has become an ordeal for the people of our country was forged not only at the front but also in the rear. One of it's conditions was to achieve the advantage over the high military-industrial potential of fascist Germany. The materials of the exhibition demonstrate the enormous contribution of innovators and inventors to the solution of many technical problems in difficult wartime conditions. The exhibition shows the documents, containing information about the inventions of the war years, samples of military equipment, ammunition, patented in the 1940-50s. The exhibition is a proof that the set of advanced scientific and technological solutions developed by Soviet scientists and engineers, is superior to the level of world-known counterparts. This promoted the efficiency of combat employment of military technology and had brought the long-awaited Victory Day closer.
Materials of the exhibition are addressed to professionals, students of higher and secondary educational institutions, as well as for anyone interested in military technology and the history of the World War II.
