Oh the word, turn into the music!

On May 27, 2016 within the All-Russian day of libraries at the Great Reading Room of the National Library of the Republic of Tatarstan (ul. Kremlevskaya, d. 33), a literary-musical evening featuring Josephine Sokol'skaya and her students was conducted.

On the initiative of and with direct participation of J. Sokol'skaya - accompanist, teacher, professor, People's Artist of the Republic of Tatarstan - the students of the Kazan Conservatory for many years perform at events held within the project "Musical Living room" of the library. The participants of this evening were the students of the master - the singers Ekaterina Vorontsova (mezzo-soprano), Syumbel Sitdikova (soprano), Ian Flaxman (soprano), Irek Fattakhov (bass) and accompanists Darya Vasileva and Ildar Nigmatullin (piano). Participation in the concerts of young performers, many of whom received the title of laureats and diplomants at competitions of various levels, their vivid emotions and genuine experiences invariably are greeted by the enthusiastic reception of the audience.

This evening Josephine Yuzefovna presented a program of chamber and vocal music, consisting of arias and romances by Russian and foreign composers. A great gift for the audience was the performance of the domra player, conductor of the orchestra of folk instruments, teacher, professor, Honored Artist of the Republic of Tatarstan Guzel Muhametdinova with her apprentice.

Throughout the concert, that also was dated to the Day of Slavic Writing and Culture on May, 24 and the Russian Language Day on June, 6 the magnificent poems about music and musicians of poets Nikolai Ogarev, Igor Northerner, Eugenia Russat were read.
