A visit to “Solnechny” convalescent center

On October 19, 2016 the Periodicals Department of the National Library of the Republic of Tatarstan visited the state educational institution of social service ““Solnechny” convalescent center for children and teenagers with disabilities of the Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Services of the Republic of Tatarstan”, situated in the Privolzhsky city district. The officials of the National Library gave a lecture on “Literature days” for the third grade students.

The lecture was dedicated to the most favourite children’s writer Victor Dragunsky. Initially children familiarized with the biography of the writer, then it was followed by declamation of his little-known works such as “Beliyi amadini” (“White munias”), “Dyadya Pavel istopnik” (“Stoker uncle Pavel”) and others. All the children were interested and actively participated in the discussion. In the end, children were treated to sweets and tasty things. The meeting turned to be joyful and all the participants made a promise to gather more frequently.
