Salih Saidashev: The Bio-Bibliographic Directory




December 3rd, 2010, marks the 110th anniversary of the birth of the founder of Tatar professional music, the outstanding Tatar composer, Salih Saidashev (1900-1954). The bio-bibliographic electronic directory, “Salih Saidashev,” was prepared for this anniversary. Saidashev devoted thirty-five years of his life to the development of Tatar music. He occupies a special place in the history of Tatar people. The bio-bibliographic directory consists of nine sections, which contain his biography, works (including notes and audio-files), articles about his life and creativity, memoirs and statements about Saidashev, poems and stories devoted to him, a photo-archive and a bibliography (of his works and works about him). The directory is in 3 languages: Tatar, Russian, and English.
