From 11th to31st May at the German reading room attached to the Department of Literature in Foreign Languages there will pass an exhibition «Football – our life!» within the limits of Year of sports and the healthy way of life declared at the Republic of Tatarstan in 2009. The exhibition is given by the German Cultural Centre of Goethe in Moscow.
At the exhibition 35 editions in German on various subjects – both fiction and history of development of football, the chronicle of the World championships of football from 1930, management and marketing of modern football, and also memoirs and supervision of known football players and trainers are presented. Also everybody can see a film in German called «Football – our life!», telling about four friends, whose vital motto sounds as the film name. They build the life according to the schedule of games of their favorite team, own home life does not represent special value. What consequences of such obsession of football can have for private life will tell a film of Tomy Wigand «Football – our life!».
The Department of Literature in Foreign Languages of the National Library of the Republic of Tatarstan (36 Karl Marx Str.) is happy to present new book arrivals to its visitors. Our new stock will be interesting to those who learn Russian as a foreign language or teach it to international students.
The seven-volume work entitled “The History of the Tatars since Ancient Times” written in English language and published by the Institute of History of Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan has supplemented the Department of Literature in Foreign Languages of the National Library of the Republic of Tatarstan.
From March 14 to 16, 2017 the officials of the Department of Literature in Foreign Languages of the National Library of the Republic of Tatarstan organized meetings with the lecturers and students of Kazan Federal University.
