On June, 9th, 2009 the Department of Literature in Foreign Languages of the National library of the Republic of Tatarstan had opened the doors for teachers of foreign languages from the republic schools. Department staff’s members held a fact-finding excursion and opened treasures of the funds. Techniques of foreign languages teaching, modern sets of a language course, magazines and newspapers on studying languages, materials on preparation for language exams, and also methodical video clips of English lessons abroad gave participants of the seminar unique chance to analyze experience of foreign colleagues.
Thus, within the limits of improvement of professional skills at the Institute of Education Development teachers had spent all day at the library and had an opportunity to enrich pedagogical luggage, to get acquainted with actual periodicals and the most valuable methodical literature, and also innovative techniques of teaching foreign languages. In total the department was visited by 57 persons.
The Department of Literature in Foreign Languages of the National Library of the Republic of Tatarstan (36 Karl Marx Str.) is happy to present new book arrivals to its visitors. Our new stock will be interesting to those who learn Russian as a foreign language or teach it to international students.
The seven-volume work entitled “The History of the Tatars since Ancient Times” written in English language and published by the Institute of History of Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan has supplemented the Department of Literature in Foreign Languages of the National Library of the Republic of Tatarstan.
From March 14 to 16, 2017 the officials of the Department of Literature in Foreign Languages of the National Library of the Republic of Tatarstan organized meetings with the lecturers and students of Kazan Federal University.
