At the National Library of Tatarstan great attention is given to veterans of work, the ex-employees of the library. We aspire to make a life of older persons worthy, sated with activity and pleasure, saved from loneliness. Special care of pensioners is traditionally celebrated on the Day of Older Persons on October 1st.
The day before the holiday, representatives of the administration and trade union organization of the National Library of the Republic of Tatarstan have visited all pensioners. Veterans of the library have received gifts, the lonely have been provided for with vegetables for the winter.
On the Day of Older Persons tea drinking has taken place within the precincts of the library. At the meeting, Razil Ismagilovich Valeev, chairman of Committee on culture, a science, education and ethnic questions, State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan, and the chairman of the Board of guardians of the National Library of the Republic of Tatarstan, told many warm stories to those who gathered for the event. The veterans of the library expressed their gratitude for the meeting and enjoyed conversation with their ex-colleagues.
The Department of Literature in Foreign Languages of the National Library of the Republic of Tatarstan (36 Karl Marx Str.) is happy to present new book arrivals to its visitors. Our new stock will be interesting to those who learn Russian as a foreign language or teach it to international students.
The seven-volume work entitled “The History of the Tatars since Ancient Times” written in English language and published by the Institute of History of Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan has supplemented the Department of Literature in Foreign Languages of the National Library of the Republic of Tatarstan.
From March 14 to 16, 2017 the officials of the Department of Literature in Foreign Languages of the National Library of the Republic of Tatarstan organized meetings with the lecturers and students of Kazan Federal University.
