On April 22, 2016 National Library of the Republic of Tatarstan took part in the annual festival of reading "Biblionight-2016", that this year was held under the motto "Read a movie!".
Live music, sounding in the Front Hall of the House of Zinaida Ushkova (now the Great reading room of the library), has created an exquisitely refined atmosphere for the guests. The tunes from the movies that are loved by everyone, performed by young musicians on violin, cello and piano, had fascinated and aroused the imagination in an anticipation of a mysterious Biblionight.
A fascinating tour through the historical building of the library was organized for the guests and participants of the festival. A further immersion into the world of cinema and literature took place during the video presentation "Books-anniversaries 2016 screen adaptations", created on the basis of works that are available in the stocks of the library. An active feedback from the audience was aroused by short comedy films directed by famous producer Salavat Yuzeev "Slammed the door and left", "Patient", "Dumplings". The guests also were interested by the trailer of the movie "121", dedicated to the classic of Tatar literature Gabdulla Tukay.
The continuation of Biblionight became the meeting with Timur Sadykov, producer and director of an unusual film project that studies the urban sound and musical environment - "Frequency 843 or The map of the sound and silence". He presented the audio presentation, during which those present had the opportunity for to experience the sounds of his native city in a new way, getting into such a familiar and at the same time such an unknown world.
An interesting conversation over a cup of tea with oriental sweets from Chayhona "P. Love" became the pleasant ending of the evening. The event was held in a warm, friendly atmosphere, all participants received a lot of fun and positive energy. In the framework of a voluntary action "Spring Week of Kindness - A relay race of good deeds "KINDHEARTED TATARSTAN" all participants of Biblionight were awarded with St. George ribbons.
