Participation of the National Library of the Republic of Tatarstan in the work of the XXI Annual Conference of the Russian Library Association

Representatives of the National Library of the Republic of Tatarstan took part in the work of the All-Russian Library Congress: XXI Annual Conference of the Russian Library Association, which took place on 14-20 May in Kaliningrad, the Russian Library capital of the 2016, and in several other cities of the Kaliningrad region.

The Congress was attended by 1 190 specialists from 64 Russian regions and 5 foreign countries. Libraries of Tatarstan were represented by a delegation of 12 people. At the Center of development of interpersonal communications in Kaliningrad  within the Congress of May 17 the XVII Exhibition of publishing products, new information technologies, goods and services was opened. At the exhibition the publications of the National Library of the Republic of Tatarstan devoted to the 150th anniversary of the library were presented.

On May, 18 the Head of the Department of Manuscripts and Rare books of the National Library of the Republic of Tatarstan A.Z. Zagidullin took part in the work of the 34th section of the Russian Library Association of the particularly valuable handwritten documents and rare books, where he delivered a lecture on "Personal (possessory) collections in the Department of Manuscripts and Rare books of the National Library of the Republic of Tatarstan".
