Library in the park

On May, 27 National Library of the Republic of Tatarstan had celebrated All-Russian Library Day by holding the event "Library in the park." Aimed at increasing the role of books and the promotion of literature and reading event took place at the Lobachevsky's park near a monument to the great mathematician. The main events were timed to the Year of Russian cinema, a 130-year anniversary of the birth of Gabdulla Tukai and the 110th anniversary of the birth of Musa Jalil.

The seven-volume work entitled “The History of the Tatars since Ancient Times” written in English language and published by the Institute of History of Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan has supplemented the Department of Literature in Foreign Languages of the National Library of the Republic of Tatarstan.
