The National Library of the Republic of Tatarstan is the participant of a library workshop in Pestrechinsky District of RT

On September 29, 2016 the officials of the National Library of the Republic of Tatarstan participated in a workshop called “Sociocultural planning as the basis of innovative library development” that was held in Centralized Library System of Pestrechinsky District.

This workshop was organized by Culture Department of Pestrechinsky District of RT together with Centralized Library System of Pestrechinsky District. The librarians from Pestrechinsky, Sabinsky, Vysokogorsky districts and members of the National Library of the Republic of Tatarstan attended the workshop.

The Deputy Director for Science of the National Library of RT Irek G. Khadiev welcomed all the participants of the workshop. He also recognized the necessity for librarians to attract readers as well as announced the report on republic libraries’ activity in 2015. The officials of Centralized Library System of Pestrechinsky District in turn spoke on innovative development of libraries in Pestrechinsky District and shared their own experience in this field. The officials of the National Library of the Republic of Tatarstan made several reports during the workshop. The list is as follows:

1. The Head of Innovation Section of the Scientific-Methodical Department O. Zueva presented the paper “Project activity: ‘Leader’ and ‘Creative research’ contests. Grants provided by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan”;

2. The Head of the Center for Legal Services of Reference Department T. Efimovskih presented the paper “Ruslan Integrated Library System: periodicals”;

3. The Leading Librarian of the Processing and Cataloguing Department R. Valiullina delivered the report “Ruslan Integrated Library System: technological features and operating instructions”;

4. The Head of the Scientific-Methodical Department S. Davletshina delivered the report on introduction of legislative texts about librarianship.

During the workshop the official document “Model standard of public libraries’ activity. Recommendations to state government and municipal bodies of federal subjects of Russia” was thoroughly analyzed and discussed.

In the end all the participants had an opportunity to visit the Museum of Hero of the Soviet Union P. Gavrilov which is situated in Alvidino village of Pestrechinsky District.
