“BiblioRodina”

The project “BiblioRodina” (“BiblioHomeland”) was recently launched in Russia. This project is aimed at providing support to libraries all over the country as well as reviving the status of libraries as the cultural and scientific centres, attracting readers and popularization of scientific knowledge, rendering assistance for popular science editions under the condition of funding shortfall.

The project provides an opportunity for every person to support Russian libraries by entering a subscription to popular-science periodicals. These subscriptions are to be donated to the chosen library. Nearly 5,000 libraries and 13 periodicals are in the project now.
