A series of workshops on Ruslan Integrated Library System

From September 19 to 23, 2016, the republican librarians participated in workshops, organized by the Institute for further education for cultural workers. The course is a part of skills training program titled “Ruslan Integrated Library System: acquisition, processing and maintenance”, offered by Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan. The course was taught by officials of the National Library of the Republic of Tatarstan.

The librarians from Atninsky, Alexeyevsky, Kamsko-Ustyinsky districts, members of Kazan centralized library system and the National Library of the Republic of Tatarstan attended lectures called “Electronic record & registration of users”, Librarians’ workbench “Automated library lending”, Librarians’ workbench “Acquisition and cataloguing’ and “The National Library of the Republic of Tatarstan portal”. During the tutorials various guidance manuals and handouts were applied.

Derived knowledge will help republican librarians to improve the quality of services and the quality of Joint electronic library catalogue of the Republic of Tatarstan.
