The officials of the National Library of the Republic of Tatarstan visit the House-museum of Vasily Aksyonov

On October 5, the officials of the National Library of the Republic of Tatarstan visited the House-museum of Vasily Aksyonov. The reason for meeting was set out by the research work of the library staff, which resulted in the discovery of a historical artefact. The issue of “Komsomolets Tatarii” (“The member of Komsomol of TASSR”) dated of December 24, 1952 is still carefully preserved in the library stocks of the National Library of RT. This newspaper issue is renowned for the first printed poems by Vasily Aksyonov.

The CEO of the National Library of RT Syuyumbika Ziganshina solemnly donated this issue to the museum’s collection. The Head of the museum in return delivered a selection of poems by V. Aksyonov, translated into the Tatar language. The head of the Department of Culture of the city of Kazan called the gift exchange ‘a graceful echo’ of the “Aksyonov-fest” festival.
