The Department of Literature in Foreign Languages of the National Library of the Republic of Tatarstan (36 Karl Marx Str.) is happy to present new book arrivals to its visitors. Our new stock will be interesting to those who learn Russian as a foreign language or teach it to international students.
The seven-volume work entitled “The History of the Tatars since Ancient Times” written in English language and published by the Institute of History of Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan has supplemented the Department of Literature in Foreign Languages of the National Library of the Republic of Tatarstan.
From March 14 to 16, 2017 the officials of the Department of Literature in Foreign Languages of the National Library of the Republic of Tatarstan organized meetings with the lecturers and students of Kazan Federal University.

On February 24, 2017 in the Grand reading room of the National Library of the Republic of Tatarstan, an evening with People's Artist of Russia and Republic of Tatarstan Renat Ibragimov took place. He presented his book entitled “Izbrannoye” (“Selected stories”).
On February 21, 2017 on the International Mother Language Day, the officials of the Department of Exhibitions and Cultural Programs of the National library of the Republic of Tatarstan presented the exhibition overview for the 1-year students of the Faculty of General Medicine of Kazan State Medical University.
For the second year in a row the National library of the Republic of Tatarstan becomes the member of the contest committee of the Republican essay contest “A ticket to the Future”, dedicated to the choice of right profession.
On December 9, 2016 in the Grand reading room of the National Library of the Republic of Tatarstan an evening if instrumental music was held. The event was organized as part of “Musical evenings in Ushkova House” project.
Results of the second All-Russian contest "The most reading region" among the subjects of the Russian Federation were summarized. The Republic of Tatarstan was announced one of the five award winners.
