At the department of periodicals of the National Library of Tatarstan (K.Marx's street, 36) is organized an exhibition «My land, Tatarstan! », dated for the Day of Republic.

On the occasion of the Day of cinema at the department of arts of the National Library of the Republic of Tatarstan the thematic exhibition «Images of daily occurrence in metaphors of the film art» is developed.

In a showroom of the National Library of Tatarstan (Kremlevskaya str., 33) has opened a book exhibition «My native land – Tatarstan». It is dated for the Day of the Republic of Tatarstan which is celebrated on August, 30th.

«The Tatar Gutenberg» is a name of an exhibition to the 150 anniversary of the publisher and book printer Ivan Nikolaevich Haritonov which is organized in the Big reading room of the main building of the National Library of the Republic of Tatarstan (Kremlevskaya str., 33).

On June, 25th at the Large reading room of the National Library of the Republic of Tatarstan (Kremlevskaya str., 33) within the limits of reception in honour of graduates of the Russian-American exchange programs a meeting with the new ambassador of the USA in Russia John Beyrle has taken place.

On June, 25th within the limits of carrying out the Days of Culture of Israel in Tatarstan the first secretary of Embassy of the State Israel in Russia Lilija Chehover has transferred in gift to the National Library of the Republic of Tatarstan and Scientific Library of N.I.Lobachevsky, a selection of books of modern Israeli authors. It is the sociopolitical, regional geographic literature and fiction.

On June, 18th at the school №122 of Kazan the first exit arrangement of the Department of Literature in Foreign Languages from a cycle «Regional geography for pupils» has taken place.

On June, 20th, 2009 there will be 75 years of the singing poet, the journalist, film actor Jury Iosifovich Vizbor and 190 years of the French composer, the conductor, violoncellist Jacque Offenbach.
