In anticipation of the 71st anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War the National Library of the Republic of Tatarstan (ul. Kremlevskaya, d. 33) hosts a book exhibition "We remember. We glorify. We are proud of our country".
On May 4, 2016 staff of the Department of periodicals of the National Library of the Republic of Tatarstan within the event "Spring Week of Kindness - Relay race of good deeds "Kindhearted Tatarstan" held an event for the students of the 3rd grade of the public autonomous institution of social services "Rehabilitation center for the children and adolescents with disabilities "Solnechny" ("Sunny") of the Ministry of Labour, employment and social protection of the Republic of Tatarstan" of the Volga region city of Kazan.
On April 28, 2016 at the conference hall of the Institute of History named after S. Mardzhani of Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan within the framework of presentation of publications of the Research Center of the Golden Horde and the Tatar khanates named after M.A. Usmanov the unique facsimile edition of "Shuab-i pandzhgana" was handed over to the National Library of the Republic of Tatarstan.
On April 28, 2016 staff of the Department of periodicals of the National Library of the Republic of Tatarstan within the framework of the voluntary action "Spring Week of Kindness - Relay of good deeds "Kindhearted Tatarstan" conducted a review "The role of periodicals in the patriotic education of youth" for 6th grade students of Gymnasium No.8 of the Soviet district of Kazan.
On April 26, 2016 the Department of manuscripts and rare books of the National Library of the Republic of Tatarstan (st. Karl Marx, d. 36) was visited by a delegation of scientists from Kazakhstan.
On April 25, 2016 at the Information and Bibliographic Department of the National Library of the Republic of Tatarstan (ul. Kremlevskya, d. 33) was held an Information Day for the tour guides.
From 18 to 23 April, 2016 on the basis of the National Library of the Republic of Tatarstan were conducted seminars for librarians of the municipal libraries of the Republic of Tatarstan within the framework of training at the refresher courses on the educational program "Automated Library System "Ruslan": technologies of set-making, processing, service".
From 21 through 30 of April, 2016 the Department of Arts of the National Library of the Republic of Tatarstan (ul. Teatralnaya, d. 5) in the framework of the "Calendar of significant and memorable dates of the Arts" offers to the visitors a selection of documents to the International Dance Day, which is celebrated on April, 29.
On April 19, 2016 for the people of third age the Department of Arts of the National Library of the Republic of Tatarstan (ul. Teatralnaya, d. 5) in the framework of the volunteer action "Spring Week of Kindness – Relay race of good deeds "KINDHEARTED TATARSTAN" and the Year of Cinema in Russia organized the collective watching of the documentaries that are reflecting the universal values.
On April 22, 2016 National Library of the Republic of Tatarstan took part in the annual festival of reading "Biblionight-2016", that this year was held under the motto "Read a movie!".
